FCCB Challenge #70 - Melon Time

Ok, so I am on a roll.  This is the 3rd card this week!  I am so glad I finally started a blog.  It is inspiring me to enter challenges, and build up my stash of cards.

Here is my entry for the FCCB Challenge #70 - Melon Time

The melon is from Preserves cut at 4 inches.  The little tag is from George and Basic Shapes cut at 2.5".
I used the leftover piece from the center of the melon for the flower on the tag.  The ribbon is from my stash.  All the paper except the green is from the DCWV Mango Frost stack.  As you all know, the shimmer and glitter cardstock does not phtopgraph very well.  Here is a close up of the melon, I used a little Orange Peel Stickles for the seeds.  Hope you like it and thanks for looking :)

Blue and White Dress Card

So here is my 2nd card for a challenge this week.  I made the card for the Celebrate The Occasion  # 23, Blue and White, and the Birthday Sundaes Challenge #19.
I love the way this card turned out.  The dress is from Forever Young.  The frame is from Elegant Edges and the little label is from Lacey Labels.  The printed paper is from DCWV 'Green Tea" stack.  I found this and a few other stacks for $5.99 at Marshall's!!  What a steal, I think I picked up a total of 6 different stacks.
The shimmer cardstock is Coordinations.  I used some Waterfall Stickles and a few Recollections gems.

Here is a close up of the dress and a side view to show the dimension.  I used lots of foam tape!!

Bee Tag

Oh I am so excited. I am going to enter my first challenge!!  Over at My Craft Spot, this weeks challenge is "Emboss It".  I am visiting one of my clients in tomorrow and wanted to make some goodie bags.  I added a tag with the cute little bee from Create a Critter, she was cut at 2.5".  I cut the flower from Elegant Edges at 4.65 and embossed the base flower with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.  I added some stickles and some Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot and called her done!!  Hope you like it!

Beer Mug Birthday Card

Ok, so this is my very first post.  I decided to create a blog so that I could start entering challenges.  I am a newbie, so join me on my journey!!  I love my Cricut and could not live without my Gypsy.  I made this card for my son for his 26th birthday.  I used Smiley Cards for all the cuts.

I weled two mugs together to make the shaped card.  I did some embossing and used vellum for the top layer of the card to make it look like an frosty mug.  I also used Liquid Glass.
