Halloween Treats

Hello all my crafty friends.
First off I just want to send my thoughts and
prayers to all affected by Hurricane Sandy!!

I just wanted to post a couple of quick pics.

These are the treat bags I made for
the 5 grandkids that live
here in California.

Their church has a Harvest Festival
so they do not really celebrate Halloween.
I made it easy on myself this year
and made the same bag for each one!!

I used Simply Charmed for the pumpkins
The font for the sentiment is from
A Child's Year, welded on my gypsy.
I used Peachy Keen Cornie Faces and
New Year's Faces for the pumpkin faces.

Here are the little treats I made for mine
and my hubby's coworkers.
I used the My Creative Time Tri-Fold Card Die.
The label is from Lacey Labels and the sentiment
is from Pink By Design.  I added some crinkle ribbon,
buttons from Recollections and more of my
homemade stickpins!!

They loved them, some of the ladies
took the stick pins off and were wearing them
on their lapels!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

I am entering these treats in the following challenges:

WYEGW - Use Cricut Markers or Gel Pens

For Today's Would You Ever Guess Wednesday
we were asked to use either Cricut Markers
or Gel Pens to draw our images
instead of cutting them.

I really ran with this theme
and made 3 cards.
I have only used my markers once before
and have never used my gel pens!!

All 3 of my cards were made using the
Silhouette Feature on the
A Quilted Christmas Cartridge.
All pattern paper is DCWV.

First up is Santa from page 31.
So sorry, I did not write down
what size I drew these at.
I think Santa is at 4"

I added some Xmas Red Stickles
and Onyx Liquid Pearls.

I filled in his beard and fur
on this hat and coat with Liquid Applique
and then heated it with my heat tool
after letting it dry overnight.

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's
"From Our Family to Yours" stamp set
stamped onto her Stiched Oval die.
I heat embossed with Zing Embossing powder.

Next up are the presents from page 76.
I thing these were drawn at 6" in length.
Just love the way this card came out!!

I added Silver and Turquoise Stickles
and colored the presents in with various markers
and blending pen.

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's
"Card Sentiments" stamp set
embossed with Zing Embossing Powder.

Last up is the candle border from page 69.

I added more stickles and Liquid Applique.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time's
"From Our Family to Yours" stamp set,
also heat embossed!

Letter of the Day - Letter P

Hello and Happy Monday!!!
it is Letter of the Day,
and this week it is the Letter P.
We can use a cartridge or an image
that begins with the Letter P.

I made a christmas card using
Pooh and Friends.
I have have this cart for along time
and this is the first time I have used it!!

I used the cute little Pooh Head from page 18 of the handbook
cut at 2.5".  The Santa Hat is from page 60 at 1.40".
All the paper I used is from Echo Park Very Merry Christmas
Paper Pack, which I purchased from
I cut the card base at 9" x 4 1/2",
so I ended up with a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"
square card.  The second brown layer
is a Spellbinders Label 18.
The green layer is Spellbinders
Lacey Circles.  Each layer is
popped up with foam squares,
Pooh is mounted on an Action Wobble.

I cover the white trim on the hat with
Ranger's Snowflake Embossing Tinsel
which I also got from Erica.

The sentiment stickers were from the same
Echo Park Paper Pack.
I added some crinkle ribbon from
My Craft Spot in Cranberry
and Vintage Pine.
I also inked all the layers
with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

October 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/
if not please start at the beginning

Collectively the design team uses over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during the two days of this hop.

For this months Hop I chose to use the
following cartridges,
Trick or Treat, October 31st,
Thanksgiving Seasonal,
and Very Merry Tags.

For this first card, I cut the Witch  at 4"
from Trick or Treat and the cauldron
was cut at 2.25" from October 31st .

The paper is Imaginisce Monster Mash.
Her cute little face is stamped with
Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed Kids Assortment.
I covered the entire cauldron in glossy accents
and added Firefly stickles.
The tag and sentiment are from
My Creative Time.

I finished off the card with some crinkle ribbon
from 3 Girl Jam and added my very first homemade stick pin!!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

For my next card, I used Thanksgiving Seasonal.
The leaf and scroll were cut at 1.70" and the
Thank You was cut at 2.25"

The paper is from DCWV Fall Stack from last year.
I covered the leaf with Flower Soft in Autumn.
It has a wonderful fuzzy texture!!

For my final project, I used Very Merry Tags.
These tags were all cut at 4" and
were so easy and fast to put together.
All paper is from DCWV Christmas and
Winter Stacks from last year.
I even saved the negative pieces left
over and plan to use them
to make additional tags.

I added a little bit of stickles to accent the tags
and some ribbon from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today.
Your next stop will be the
wonderful Shelly.

Please be sure to visit and comment
on each stop along the way as

Card Creating Tuesday - Guardian Angel

Hello, and welcome to another
Card Creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craft Room.
Today is Guardian Angel Day, and we were
asked to use and angel or anything
associated with angels on our project today.
Plus, from now until Oct. 15, we
are still using pink somewhere on our
projects.  I am choosing to display pink
proudly as my mom is a survivor.

For my project today, I used the beautiful Angel
from A Quilted Christmas.  I am really loving this
cartridge.  It has at least 4 different ways to cut
each image.  Love the variety.
I cut my angel and all her layers at 5.75"
All the paper is from my stash, various manufacturers.

I debossed the wings using a Damask Decor
Cuttlebug folder.  I embossed the hair
with Divine Swirls.  I added some Stardust Stickles.
The stuff in the corners is called Shaved Ice from
Stampendous.  It is really cool!!
I added some pearl flourishes.
Here is a close up

Her face was stamped with Peachy Keens
"Laffy Taffy" Face Assortment.
This perfect sentiment was found
on Winter Frolic, it was cut at 1.5"
and higlighted with some more Stardust Stickles!!

May Angels be watching over
you and your loved ones!!

Be sure to check out the other Angel cards

And don't forget this weekend is
our 100 Cartridge Blog Hop!!
