Halloween Popcorn Treats

Hello All My Crafty Friends!!

Warning!!  This is a long post :)

It seems like such a long time since I spent any time in my craft room!!  We were in the process of redecorating our bedroom, so the house has been in total chaos for the last few weeks.  Painting, crown molding, new furniture, a new sleep number bed!!  Whew, lots of stuff!!  The bedroom is all done now, and looks fabulous.  We still have a little accessorizing to do, but all the big stuff is done.

Anyway, with Halloween a few days away, I needed to get into my craft room to make some treat bags for mine and my DH coworkers.  Since I had a short amount of time and needed to make 30 of them, I decided to make something simple.  I found this great recipe for Salted Caramel Popcorn at Hungry-Girl.com, so I wanted to make some and give this instead of candy.  It is yummy and low in calories.  You can click on the link for the recipe.  I had some cute Halloween Ziploc bags I found at Micahels for $1 last year and decided to fill these with the popcorn and I added a cute little tag.

Here is a picuture of the first 15, and a close up of the cute bag.

I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More to cut the tag at 4 " and Mini Monsters for the cute little ghost at 1.75".  The cardstock is Coordinations, for the tag I used the Black Magic and embossed with a Hello Kitty folder from Sizzix.  I added a strip of glittery green paper at the bottom cut with Martha Stewarts Drippy Goo Punch.  I used the PK - Monster Mash assortment for the face on the ghost and added some glossy accents to the eyes and mouth.  The sentiment is from Crafysprouts, "Totally Witchin" set.  I punched a hole in the treat bag and tied the tag on with My Craft Spot Crinkle Ribbon in Marmalade.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

More than Favors - Wacky Wednesday #57 - Anything Goes
My Craft Spot - Monday Challenge #31 - See Through Projects
Paper Craft Weekend Challenge  - October Something New (the embossing folder is something new I have never used before)
Paper Craft Weekend Challenge - Theme Challenge - Halloween
And finally FCCB Challenge Me Monday - - #83 – Spooky Time (Create a project with a ghost on it)

Happy Crafting and thanks for visiting my blog :)
