Christmas Pictures

I thought I would share a couple of pictures from Christmas with all of you.  This first picture is of 5 of my grandkids in front of our Christmas tree.  Unfortunately, our other grandchildren live out of state, so we did not get to see them.
This next picture is not a very good one, but I had to share it!!  This is spoiled dog #3, Ginger.
She loves to sit in the sun!!  I wish I could have gotten a picture of my other 2 spoiled girls, but they don't sit still long enough to get a picture, unless they are sleeping in my lap!!

This last picture is spoiled dog #4!!  My beautiful grandpuppy, Luta!!  What a great picture!!
I hope all my crafty friends had as great a christmas as I did!!

Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme is NATIVITY
Here is my project....
In my opionion, I saved the best for last.  Out of all the cards I made for the 25 days of December, this one is my very favorite.  I love the sparkle of this card and the true meaning of the season.  The wise man and the star were cut from Winter Frolic.  The wiseman was cut at 3.5".  The glitter cardstock is from Coordinations.  I have to say, the Coordinations cardstock is my favorite.  I love the variety it is available in.  Both in color and finish.  It cuts so nice too!!  This card is so simple, but I think it is beautiful!!

For the hills, I tore some cardstock, then crumpled it and inked it up with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The beautiful sentiment is from My Craft Spots "Merry Christmas" stamp set.  I just the love the beautiful font!!

Well that concludes the 25 Days of December.  I am sad to see it end.  I have had a blast.  I would like to thank Erica for allowing me to be on this seasonal design team.  But guess what my crafty friends??
Erica has asked me to join her Full Time Design Team!!
Woo Hoo, I am looking forward to a
2012 filled with all kinds of crafty Cricut projects!!

I am wishing all my Crafty Friends a VERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I just love this image of Jolly Old St. Nick from the Christmas Solutions Cartridge.  He is cut at 4.5" and he is mounted on an Action Wobble.  I embossed his beard with the divine swirls folder and the trim on his hat with swiss dots.  All paper used for Santa is Coordinations.  The background paper is from a MAMBI Christmas Stack.   I added some red glitter tulle and tinsel string  I used a Martha Stewart Tag and the HO HO HO sentiment is from Santa's Little Helper stamp set from Sweet Anna Bee Designs.

25 Days of December - Day 23 SNOWMAN

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.  Don't forget to stop by
Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme was SNOWMAN
My project today was to use the Cuttlebug.

Here is my project....
I had so much fun making these little treat holders, but I cannot take credit for the idea.  I got the original idea from Cassandra at http://www.ctimz3.blogspot.com/2011/12/my-creative-time-12-days-of-christmas.html.  She made the most adorable little inexpensive gifts, and I decided to make them for the people at my husband's and my work.  Here is a picture of the first ones I made:
These were cute enough, but then, Glora over at glorascrafts made the snowman!!  So these are my take on the little treat holders.  I made 45 of these!!  They were very simple to make, but they took me a long time since I made so many.

Now, the only cricut cut on these is the snowman hat, cut from Snowfriends.  The treat holder itself was cut with my Cuttlebug using the Lollipop Holder Die from Emma at My Creative Time.  I love this die!!  I can't wait to make some cake pops and put them in this little holder.  The heads were punched with a 2" circle punch and for the penguins face, I also used a heart punch, then trimmed it down to fit in the circle.  Their cute little faces are from Peachy Keen.  Then I finished them off with a
few gems and some bakers twine scarves!!

Here are some closeups:

Here is a side view showing what was lying within the treat holder, little bottles of hand sanitizer that I got at Bath and Body for on $1.00 each!!

Everyone that received one of these little treats really loved them!!

Happy Crafting!!

Here is my project....
Isn't this Gingerbread couple just too cute!! This card came together very quickly.  This couple was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.  They were each cut at 8.9" H x 3.09"W.  Their cute little faces are from Peachy Keens Christmas Face Assortment.  I added some stickles and some little heart gems, a little chalk and a little inking.  I cut the girl a 2nd time from the pattern paper and then cut just her dress out.  All pattern paper is from DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack.  Here is a close up of the couple:
I added some tinsel string and a Martha Stewart Tag, the sentiment is from Carfty Sprouts "Have a Cool Yule" stamp set.  I also inked the card and tag with
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Festive Berry.

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.  Don't forget to stop by
Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme was KIDS!!
Here is my project....

I am sooo late posting this project!!!  I am so sorry my crafty friends!!  I work in the world of payroll, so this time of year is super, super busy for us.  Anyway, my project today is a gift bag.  I made this gift bag for my Secret Santa!!  I used Jolly Holidays.  I believe the skater is cut at 5".  Once again, I failed to save this file on my gypsy :(.  The sentiment is also cut from Jolly Holidays.  The pattern paper is from Close to My Hearts "Winter Wonderland" paper pack.  The rest of the glitter and glimmer cardstock is from my stash, mostly Coordination's.  I actually trimmed the hat down with my scissors a bit, it seemed way too big!!
Here is a close up
I used Peachy Keens Princess Face Assortment for her cute little face.  I also used the divine swirls cuttlebug folder for emboss the ice rink.  I tied some glitter tulle to the handle.

To finish it off I added a tag that I cut from Art Philosophy.  I cut it twice, once in the pattern paper and then again with the glitter paper.  on the glitter paper tag, I hid the snowflake using my gypsy.  The font for the name is also from Art Philosophy, I cut the letters out of the top layer of the tag, so that the glitter paper would show through the negative space.
There are only 4 days left of the 25 Days of Christmas!!
See you all tomorrow!!

Happy Crafting !!

Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme was FLOWERS
Here is my project....

My project was to make a card:
Once again, I chose to make a gift card holder using my cuttlebug and the Gift Card Die from My Creative Time.  I bought my mom a gift card that I am going to put in this holder.  The flowers and the scroll were cut from Art Philosopy (Yes, in case you haven't guessed, this is my go to cartridge!!)  The leaves were cut from Flower Shoppe Cartridge.  Sorry, I cut these flowers at the last minute and did not write the sizes down, and when I went back to the file in my gypsy, I had not saved it :(.  Any way, this card came together quickly.  After rolling the flower using my Imasginisce Petal Roller, I spritzed it with Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist and added some Stickles in Goldenrod.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spots "Merry Christmas" stamp set.  The paper is Recollections.
Here is a close up of the flowers:

Make sure you stop by tomorrow to see a gift bag I decorated using Jolly Holidays!!

I used Recollections paper for both cards and the sentiments are from the new stamp set from Scrappy Moms Stamps called "Freshly Brewed".  Isn't it perfect!!

Today's theme was to use an ELF!
Here is my project....

My project was to use Peachy Keen Stamps:
Isn't he the cutest little guy!!  I have been wanting Jolly Holidays since it came out last year, but kept putting off buying it.  Now that the Christmas is here, I have been trying to buy this everywhere, and it either wasn't available or I kept losing the bids on ebay!!  Well guess what, I ended it up winning the cartridge from the wonderful Pam at http://craftycards4u2.blogspot.com/!!  I knew when I signed up for this day in the 25 Days of December that my cartridge was on its way, and I wanted to use this cute little elf!!
I cut the elf and all his layers at 3.75".  I added the super cute Peachy Keen face from the Wide Eyed Kids Assortment.  I added some liquid Applique to his hat, and some bling for the buttonson his pants.  I also added stickles to the string of lights.  The piece of cardstock he is sitting on is from Stampin Up, and I punched it with Martha Stewarts Skyland Snowflake Punch Around the Page.  The pattern paper is from the DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack.  The sentiment is from Crafty Sprouts 'Have a Cool Yule" set.
I added some bakers twine from My Craft Spot and some bling to the center of the snowflakes.
Thanks again for visiting and come back again tomorrow :)

My project was to make a home decor item:
Aren't these just too cute!!  They were super simple and quick to make.  These peppermint candies were made using the Very Merry Tags Cricut Cartridge.  I cut them using fit to page, so they are about 11.5".  The only supplies I needed were red, green and white cardstock, some stickles and pipe cleaners.  Super easy, right?  Here is a close up:

Now, you are probably asking, what did she use these for?  Well, we used them at the office to decorate for Christmas.  We hung them from the ceiling panels!!  I made 10 total candies.

Guess What, I did not use Art Philosophy today!!!   LOL   Today I used Elegant Edges, but only for the frame that the tree is sitting on.  I cut the frame at 4" W x 5.6"H.  I also embossed this frame using a Quick Kutz embossing foder.  I went over the embossing with the Versamark Dazzle ink pad in Frost.  The tree was embossed using the Cuttlebug Tree folder.  I have had this folder for a long time and this is the first time I have used it.  All the paper is from Close to My Hearts "Believe" paper pack.  I embossed the tree and then went over it with a dark green Studio G stamp pad.  I added some Xmas Red Stickles and some red gems.  To finish off the card, I added this fun Celebrate It Ribbon fom Michaels.  Thanks for visiting!!

Whew, we are at Day 14, only 10 days left until Christmas!!  For today's card, once again, I used Art Philosophy!!  Surprise, Surprise!!  I am not going to apologize for using this cartridge over and over, it is my favorite!!!  The card base was cut at 10.49" W x 5.6" H.  I pasted a piece of DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack paper behind the ornament that was cut using the card feature.  The strip of paper on the left side is also from the same sheet of paper.  The cardbase is made from Coordinations Cardstock in Scarlett.  I embossed with a Cuttlebug Ornament folder.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot "Merry Christmas" stamp set.  I embossed the sentiment with embossing powder from A La Mode.  To finish off my card, I added some tinsel string and some Diamond Stickles.

Today's theme was to use a PENGUIN!!

I just love this cutie patootie Penguin!!  Once again, I used Art Philosopy for the card base cut at 7" h x 8.77"w.  The matching frame was cut at 6.6" w x 4.3"h.  The purple cardstock is Coordinations Gemstones.  I dry embossed with my Cuttlebug Snowflake folder and then wet embossed using an embossing pen with clear glitter embossing powder from A La Mode.  It is really hard to see in this picture.  The printed paper is from The Paper Company, it is called Snowflake Medley.

Next, I stamped, colored and die cute the Penguin using Peachy Keens Winter Character with Stocking Hat Kut Outs and the matching Penguin Girl stamp.  This is the first time that I have ever stamped and colored in an image.  I used my stampin up markers for the coloring.  I added stickles and glossy accents.

To finish off the card, I added some purple and white tinsel string from Praire Bird Boutique and a Martha Steewart tag that I sprayed with glimmer mist.  Once again, I used the Crafty Sprouts "Have a Cool Yule" stamp set.
