My Imagination Monday - CCR Carts

Hello my crafty friends and Happy Monday.
Today is the first Monday that I am posting for
Since I do not have an Imagine and don't
use CCR, I never signed up for Mondays.
Well once I found out that once you buy
CCR Exclusive cartridges, and you update
your Gypsy, then you can use the CCR
carts with your Gypsy!!  How cool is that.
So for today, I chose to use the
CCR Exclusive "Mixed Drinks".
Today's card is dedicated to my
DT sister Teresa!!

Once of my favorite mixed drinks
are Green Apple and Lemon Drop Martinis!!
"Mixed Drinks" did not have a martini
so, I used the Manhatten cut.
I cut is at 4"
It is hard to see in the picture
but I cut the layer for the glass
from the clear plastic packaging from one
of my cricut cartridges.  I like to save
them for when I want a clear element.

I had the perfect sentiment for this card.
It is from Peachy Keens "Happy Hour" stamp set.

The pattern paper is from
DCWV Green Tea Stack.
for the first layer, I used a Martha Stewart
corner punch.  I inked the card base
with Distress Ink in Mustard Seed.
The next layer is a Spellbinders
Label Ten.  I added some Stickles
in Crystal around the rim of the glass
to represent the sugar on the rim
of a Lemon Drop Martini.
I thought the card needed a little more
so I added some gems
and flourishes from Recollections.
The ribbon is from My Craft Spot.

Doesn't this just look yummy!!

Thanks for stopping by today and please
to see what my DT sister created today.

Also, Erica is having a huge $500 giveaway
so be sure to check out all the details HERE

  1. Kathy - thank you for the dedication!! This is a beautiful card! I love that you used the packaging for the clear element. Do you find that it is difficult to cut? Do you use the deep blade setting? I have never tried cutting heavier stuff like that.
I love all the bling and the colors!
    PERFECT PROJECT! <3
