a Sizzix folder from
the Peppermint Twists

The sentiment was cut at
2.37'w x 1.00' h

I added some designer trim from Webster's Pages

Little Scrap Pieces Guest Designer

Hi All My Crafty Friends!!

Today, I am so excited to share with you that
I am a guest designer for the Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces.
I jumped at the chance when Karen asked for
volunteers to do this.
Thanks for this opportunity, Karen!

Now Karen let her guest designer's pick
their own them and I chose
"USE BLING"!!!

I love using bling on my projects
and this one is no exception.
It is jam packed with bling!!

I have been wanting to make
a Paris themed card for awhile
and this is what I came up with

I used the brand new CTMH Artiste Cricut
cartridge for the roses and the flourishes,
The Eiffel Tower and Cest la Vie,
were cut from Wall Decor and More.

Here is a picture without using the flash.
The beautiful paper is from
DCWV Belle Blvd stack.
It is hard to tell but the
black border at the bottom
is flocked!!

I distressed all the paper
with Tea Dye Distress ink.

Here is a close up of the beautiful flowers.
I sprayed them with some water after
rolling them so I could shape the petals.
I then spritzed them with Diamond Glimmer Mist.
I then added some StarDust
Stickles to the end of the petals.
Did you know if you use StarDust Stickles
it dries clear and you can see the color of
the paper underneath??  It just adds the sparkle!!
I added some pearls to the centers.

I also added the stickles to the flourishes,
the senmtiment and the flourishes
on the tower!!!

Karen, thank you so much for
choosing me to be a guest designer today!!

Please head on over to Little Scrap Pieces
and join us for the Fun Friday Challenge
and show us some BLING!!!

WYEGW - Use the Phrase Feature, Canvas or Fibers

Hello all my crafty friends!!
How are you on this lovely "HUMP" day!!
I am doing great, my husband and I are
on vacation this week, and today
we are taking off for a few nights of R&R.
We will be staying at the Ayres Resort and Spa
in Moreno Valley, CA.  We got a suite for only
$84 a night!!  Moreno Valley is very close to
Palm Springs in one direction and Temcula
in the other.  So we plan on relaxing, shopping,
and just enjoying some time away!!

So for this week's Would You Ever Guess Wednesday
we could choose to use the Phrase Feature
from a cartridge, or use Fibers, or use Canvas!!
I chose to do all 3!!

Here is a sneak peak of my project.

I stared off with a plain 4" x 8" canvas block.

I started by painting the block in a bright green.
My scrap room is pink and green and so
that is where I got my color scheme from!

The phrase is cut from Wall Decor and More.
The papers are from my scrap stash.
I decoupaged the phrase onto the
canvas using Mod Podge.

Next I added stickles in Cherry Ice to the flourishes.
I added some pink ribbon around the outer edge.
I added some gems and flowers that
I got from our wonderful leader, Erica!!
I finished it off with a couple of butterflies.
I was really happy with the way it came out and
this will be on display in my scrap room!!

Please make sure to stop by My Cricut Craftroom
to see the other wonderful projects
from my design team sisters!

Also, don't forget to come back on Saturday for
the 100 cartridge Blog Hop!!

Curly Tree - Thinking of You

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Today I have a pretty little Thinking of You card.  I used the curly tree from Wall Decor and More.  I just love this little tree.  The pretty paper is an old paper pack I have from Close to My Heart.  Don't you just love the pretty fall colors!!  The sentiment stamp is CTMH as well.  The ribbon is from my stash and I hand cut the tag.  I added just a touch of glitter gel pen.  I embossed the frame the tree is on with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder.  I am entering this card in Bitten By the Bug2 - Curly Tree Challenge.  The challenge was to use the tree from Heritage, but since I don't have this cart, I used this one from Wall Decor and More, I think it fits the challenge, what do you think ?

Hugs and Kisses,
Kathy
