Craftin Desert Divas April Release Sneak Peek - Day 2

Today is Day 2 of the sneak peeks for the April stamp release at Craftin Desert Divas. We have 4 new stamp sets and 1 die set.

 These images and sentiments come with a SVG outline that is FREE to you. They are in the CDD Gallery on Facebook under the files tab.

Today we are showcasing HAPPY THOUGHTS.

Here's my project I've created for you...

My granddaughter just turned 12 last week and I needed a birthday card for her.

I decided to use the cute girl from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set, but I covered

the kite with the balloons from Totally Turtle from the March Release.

I just cut out the balloons only and glued them over the kite,

 I colored her in with my Specturm Noir Markers

 I decided to use the new Banner Dies to make a little shaker.

I used the smaller banner die, and cut the window with a

Spellbinders die.  The numbers are from the All Aboard Stamp Set.

I also used the new True Love sequins!!

The Happiness Enclosed sentiment is from the new Happy Thoughts Stamps. 

The pattern papers and Sprinkles are from Doodlebug

For the inside I used a sentiment from Bring on the Cake

I added a little money pocket on the other side

and tucked in a little cash!!

And now for my project:
My oldest granddaughter Eva turned 18 this month
Here is one of her senior pictures:

She is a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul
and she is very artistic.  Here is the card I created for her.

I used lots of Prima Product for this card.

I tried to get the Julie Nutting Doll to resemble

my granddaughter in her pictures.  I think

its a fair resemblance!!  I used Prima Color Bloom Spray

and a stencil for the background.  The trim along the side

is also from Prima as are the flowers which I inked

up with my Prima Chalk Edgers to match with the background.

I also added some Prima Glitter Enamel Dots.

Her face is from Peachy Keens Laffy Taffy Assortment.

I used a chalkboard tag for my sentiment and the actual sentiment

if from the Be Inspired Stamp Set, which I stamped in white ink.

I used Bring on the Cake for the sentiment on the inside.

Happy Anniversary

Hello, and Happy Friday.

Today is my day to post over  at

This week is all about LOVE

 I have an extra special card to share with you today.

Today is the 16th Wedding Anniversary for my husband and I.

And this is the card I made for him. 

This beautiful image is Design ID #5757 from the Silhouette Store

I added some shading and contouring with some chalk

and used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder for the hair

I cut the big red heart from Glitter Paper

The pattern paper is from an old Recollections paper stack

 

 I used the new Sending Love for the sentiment on the front.

I used the following stamp sets

to create my inside Sentiment.

Baymax Birthday Card

Hello, today is my day to post
over at Craftin Desert Divas

Today I am sharing a card I made
for my Grandson's Birthday.

When Big Hero 6 came out,
my husband and I took my grandson
Tristan and granddaughter Bella to
see the movie.  We all loved it, so when
his birthday came around, and I saw this file
from PPBN Designs, I just knew I had to make a Baymax card!!

 The cardbase is from SVG Cutting Files

and I embossed the top layer with my Cuttlebug.

 Love this sentiment. 

I love that this set comes with all the numbers

so you can personalize your sentiment.

I made this card for my granddaughter's 7th birthday.

She is a softball player and is a star on her team!!

My sweet softball player is from Miss Kate's Cuttables

and for my background, I used one of the Geometric Card Essentials

 from My Scrap Chick, I just added the stitching to

make them look like baseballs!!

Of course the face is from Peachy Keen's

 The Moodies Face Assortment

 

Here is a close up of the sentiment on the front of my card.

I actually asked Tara if she could add a sentiment for

Softball players on this set, so glad she did :)

For the inside of my card, I used

Bring on the Cake, All Star Sports and Sugar and Spice

to create my sentiment.  Love how you can mix

and match to create a custom sentiment :)

little girl.  She loves Princess Sofia!!

is from SVG Cutting Files.

I used Zing Embossing Powder and Prima Chalk Edgers

The Happy Birthday is from Happy Celebrations

and the Princess is from Sugar and Spice

 The sentiment on the inside is from Bring on the Cake.

Game of Thrones White Walker

Hello and Happy Sunday!!

I have a quick card to share with you today.

My son's 29th birthday was last week

and here is the card I made for him.

He is an avid Game of Thrones fan!!

The fabulous White Walker file and card base are 

from SVG Cutting Files.

They did a Game of Thrones Blog hop a while back

and I knew I would make a card from my son

as soon as I saw this file!!

The papers and sprinkles are from Doodlebug.

I absolutely love this set and have been

using it quite a bit lately!!

My son absolutely loved his card

and said it was the best part of his present!!

For today I am sharing another project using a Prima Doll!!

This time I used a wooden doll :)

Followers of my blog should know I am

I tried some different techniques this time.

I stenciled the tag using some Prima stencils

and Glimmer Mist.  The label is a Spellbinders

Labels 10 which I embossed with Cuttlebug Paisley folder.

I used Prima Chalk Edgers to ink all my edges.

Here is a closeup of the doll

I colored her with American Crafts Chromatix markers.

I am a pure amateur when it comes to coloring!!

I added some bling from Recollections,

some Webster's Trim and some

beatuiful crocheted flowers.

The little sparkly dots are from Prima

and so is the CUTE paperclip.
