My 2nd giveaway is a set of Cuttlebug embossing folders.
It is the Companion Folders for Preserves.
This set coordinates beautifully with the
Preserves Cricut Cartridge
or any fruit cut!!

Here is a picture of my
4 big princes (3 sons and a son-in-law)
and the KING!! (hehe, my husband)

Aren't they a handsome bunch!!

Tomorrow, I will show you a picture of my grandsons!

As many princes as I have in my life, I do not make
very many masculine or boy themed cards.
So this hop was the perfect opportunity to make
something for one of the many princes in my life!!

Now, on to my project for today.

I made a card using the Playtime Lite Cartridge.

My son in law had a birthday this week and he loves to fish,
so I made this card for him!!

This cute little boy was cut at 3.5".  Now he originally came
wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but I made a matching gift bag
that you will see tomorrow, so I used the overalls
from another figure from Playtime.  I stamped his face
with Peachy Keens Boy Mates stamp set.  Isn't he too cute!!
I tore some paper for the water and the hill he is standing on.
The sun was cut from the iTop and wrapped with
twine, inked and stickled.  The clouds are stickled too.
Even thought this is a boy card, I had to
put a little bling...LOL

This cute sentiment is from Pink by Design
"Simply Everything" stamp set.
I stamped it then heat embossed it
with Zing Embossing Powder.

Please come back tomorrow to see the matching
gift bag I made and for some more fun and a
FABULOUS Surprise at the end of the hop.

Your next stop is Tiffany

Here is the entire lineup in case you get lost along the way.

Theme Day Thursday - Spring Seasonal Cartridge

Hello, and welcome back to another

For today's project we could use either
Bears and Ducks or use any
Spring Seasonal Cartridge.  I chose to use
the Spring Fever Seasonal Cricut Cartridge.
This cartridge is filled with some of the best
spring images from various other cricut cartridges.

I had originally designed a totally different card, but then
I received a package from the wonderful
Inside my package of stuff I had ordered from her store,
(FYI, she has some fantastic prices!!) Erica had thrown in
some extra goodies.  She sent me some beautiful paper from
the Bo Bunny Back to Basics line.  I had to redesign my
whole card so I could incorporate this paper!
Here is a sneak peek.

I cut 2 different butterflies, one a side view and one a
full butterfly.  I cut the side view butterfly twice,
but I flipped one of them using my gypsy.
The bottom layer was cut from glitter paper and
the top layer was cut from DCWV paper.
Now, when I was running the top layers through
my xyron toapply adhesive, I accidentally ran on
piece in backwards!!  Oh my, what to do??  I did not want to
cut another piece.  So I decided to apply glitter to the side
I accidentally ran through.  I loved the way it looked,
so I then ran the other two pieces through
the "wrong"side and applied glitter to them too :)
I beleive that I cut the butterflies out at 1.5"

The scroll that th butterflies are sitting on was cut
from the same cartridge at 4.5".
The brown mat was cut using an MS border punch.

I finished the card up by adding a tag cut from the
Teeny Tag Greeting Stamp and Die from
My Creative Time and I addd some twine

Thanks for visiting, and please head on
to see what the rest of the design team has to share today.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday - Textures Wet/Dry

Hello, and welcome to another

Today, the team was challenged with using Wet/Dry Textures
on our projects.  We could use Stickles, Liquid Pearls,
Liquid Applique, Viva Decor Pens, Glossy Accents,
Glimmer Mist.  Basically anything that would give our projects
some beautiful texture!!  I used several different products.
Here is a sneak peak!

For my card today, I used Art Philosophy and
Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cartridges.
I also used Stickles, Liquid Pearls and
Glossy Accents to add texture.

My good friend is having knee replacement surgery next week,
andshe is realy nervous about it.  Since Saturday is
St. Patrick's Day,I decided to make her a good luck
card using my favorite color GREEN!!

I started by making some more of the beautiful flowers
from Art Philosophy.  I cut the flowers at 2.5" & 3" in
white and patterned paper.
For the big flower in the center, I cut it out in white and
then spritzed it with Glimmr Mist in Olive Twist.
For the flower in the left, I also cut it out in white, but
I just inked the edges with a Studio G stamp pad.
The flower on the right was cut from pattern paper.
I added stickles in the edges of the petals in
Lime Green and Diamond.
I put a dot of Liquid Pearls in the center.

Here are some more flowers using the same techniques.

The flowers were adhered to the card base that I cut from
Art Philosophy at 10"w x 7" h.  I added an oval in the middle
because I wanted it to be a window card.
The paper was from a Recollections Christmas Stack.
Once I cut it out, I realized that I was left with and
ugly white oval in the middle!!
So, I took some metallic rub ons I had sitting
in my chalk drawer and applied 3 different colors
with my finger.  I love the way it came out!!!
I then added a ring of Platinum Liquid Pearls on the inside
and the outside of the oval.

The Good Luck sentiment was cut from the
Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cartridge.
I cut the shadow as well.  I covered the top layer
with Liquid Glass from Close to My Heart
to give it some shine and gloss!!

I finished it off with some crinkle ribbon.
I sure hope my friend Pat likes her card.
A lot of love went into it!!!

How Did You Get into Cricut???

Today over at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com, Erica has asked us how we got into Cricut and then to link to Inlinkz to enter to try and WIN the Cricut Circle Exclusive SOPHIE CARTRIDGE.....

How awesome is that!!!

So here is my story:

I first started my papercrafting journey with scrapbooking.  One day my husband and I were at a Home Show and there was a Creative Memories booth, and he said "You should try this!!".  Boy, I think he has now regretted that statement as he is the one that got me into my addiction with papercrafting...LOL!!!   So I first started with Creative Memories, and then moved on to Stampin Up, and then I saw an infomercial advertising this new crafting tool the "Cricut"!!  What was this wonderful machine??

After much hemming and hawing, my husband finally said I could buy it!!  I bought my first baby bug from QVC.  At first, I did not use it very much as I did not have the room nor the know how.  I tried using Design Studio, but it was kind of a hassle to have to hook it up to your computer.

Then I discover the Cricut Message Boards.  Wow, did I learn alot, just by looking at all the different projects.  By this time I had moved away from scrapbooking into card making.

A friend of mine was getting married and she bought her invitations off of the internet!!  Anyway, she was disappointed with how plain they looked so she asked me to "spruce" them up.  All I did was add some gems and flowers to them.  She was so happy with how much better they looked!!  I also made her little inserts with my Cricut, stating that the only gift they wanted was your presence!!    I also decorated her wedding favors.  She was so appreciative of what I had done for her (even though she paid for all the supplies!), she went out and bought me the Pink Cricut Expression!!!  Oh wow, was I surprised and shocked.  I told her this is way too much, I cannot accept this.
She happend to get a really good deal on it at Michaels, it was only $140 because the Pink Journey cartridge was missing from the package.  Anyway, she would not take no for an answer, so now I had the Expression!!  I ending giving my baby bug to my son's then girlfriend, which now I regret because she broke up with him!!

Anyway, so when they came out with the gypsy, I bought it on the night of the initial launch on HSN.  I never craft without my gypsy!!!  I absolutely love it and my Expression.

And now, over 100 cartridges later, it has become an addiction!!  I have my own craft room now, I started my blog last June and now I am lucky and proud to be on the Design Team over at My Cricut Craft Room.  I love spending time creating cards for friends and family!!

Thanks for visiting and make sure you stop by My Cricut Craft Room to share your story for a chance to win the Sophie Cartridge!!

Card Creating Tuesday - Easter

For today, the design team was asked to make Easter card
using GREEN, YELLOW and one other color.
My third color is PINK

Here is a sneak peak!

For today's card I used Art Philosophy for the card base.
It was cut at 5".  I embossed the base with a
Simply Charmed Cuttlebug folder.
The three frames were cut from Elegant Edges at varying sizes.
The card base and the frames were all cut from
Close to My Heart paper pack called "Sweet Pea".
That is also the name of my Spoiled Dog #1!!

The circle was cut using a Spellbinders die called Lacy Circles.
The was embossed with another Cuttlebug folder.
The paper is Coordinations Color Core cardstock,
which I sanded to bring out the lighter pink color.

Finally this funny little bunny was cut at
3.5" from 3 Birds on Parade.
She was mounted use an action wobble.
Here is a little video to show how she wobbles!!

Theme Day Thursday - Use Peachy Keen Stamps

Oh I have been waiting for this day!!
The theme for today was to use one of my most favorite things, Peachy Keen Stamps!!
I love, love, love using Peachy Keen stamps on my projects.

I decided to make a St. Patty's Day card, using the
Peachy Keen February Stamp of the Month.
This stamp set is filled with the most
adorable St. Patty's Day images.
Now I used Art Philosophy and
Mini Monograms to make the base of the card.
All other images are Peachy Keen Stamps!!

I cut this window card out with my gypsy by first
putting the scalloped card base
from Art Philosophy on the mat, at 8"w x 9" h.
I then placed 3 scalloped squares on the
front of the card base.
The squares are 2.52" w x 2.8" h.
So the result was a window card!!
Of course I saved the scalloped
squares to use on another project.

Next came the stamping!!  I stamped 2 of the
4 leaf clovers on to green cardstock.
I stamped the hat onto white cardstock and the
face onto a blush colored cardstock.
I colored the hat using my Stampin Up Markers
and highlighted with a metallic gel pen.

I added some glossy accents and chalk to the face.

I outlined the 4 leaf clovers with lime green stickles.
The LUCKY sentiment is also from the same set!!
The pattern paper is from a holiday pack by Papercraft.
The two clovers and the leprechan were
mounted onto action wobbles.I finished the card off
with some crinkle ribbon from Praire Bird Boutique.

I hope you enjoyed my card today, I know it make me smile!!

Thanks for visiting today and please make sure
to see what fun things the rest of the design team has created today

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
