September 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/
if not please start at the beginning
Collectively the design team uses over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during the two days of this hop.

For this months Hop I chose to use the following cartridges,
Fontopia, Elmo and Friends Holiday, and Rock Princess.
I made all birthday cards this month!!

This first one I used Fontopia, and Artiste.
It is kind of simple, but it was for my
son, so did not want it fancy!!

The paper is from CTMH older set
called Route 66.
I used the chipboard and stamps
from the Artiste bundle for the center piece.

For this next card, I used Elmo and Friends Holidays.
Now I know I made an Abby Cadabby card a few
months ago, but when my friend at work saw
a picture of it, she wanted me to make her an
Abby Cadabby card too.  She has a
grandaughter named Abby.

These characters, have so many tiny pieces they
are sometimes a challenge to put together,
but once they are done, totally worth it!!
I added some of my favorite
Stardust Stickles.  The tag
is Spellbinders "Twisted Metal Tags"

For my last 2 projects I used Rock Princess.
My granddaughter had a "Rock Star" Birthday
Party this month, I made the invitations for the party.

I had to make 30 of these, so kept them pretty simple.
I had quite the time trying to cut glitter cardstock.
I ruined several sheets trying to cut the top layer.
I finally ended up reversing the colors and was
happy with the way they turn out.

Here is the inside

Here is the card that I made for her.

Card Creating Tuesday - Any Card

Hello, Today is Card Creating Tuesday.
Today we could make any kind of card we wanted.
I decided to shat with you a card I made
for a recent swap.  For the swap, we were to
make any card,, but it had to include stamping.

I made this card using Artiste and Elegant Edges.

The paper is from CTMH.
I also used some Spellbinders dies.

The stamped sentinment is one of the
stamps included in the Artiste bundle.
I added some Stardust Stickles to give it
some sparkle.  I also inked all papers
with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye.

I popped each layer using foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by, and please make sure your
visit My Cricut Craft Room to see the rest of today's projects.

Theme Day Thursday - Apples or Fruit

How are all my crafty friends today??
I am getting ready to go in vacation next week
so I have been super busy at work!!

We are going to Chicago!!
My hubby works for Amtrak, and he got
picked to be in a safety video.
So the company is flying him to
Chicago for the video shoot and we decided
to make a vacation out of it!!
We have been there once before, so are really
looking forward to visiting again.
And one stop I am going to be sure to
make is to the Archiver's Store!!
We do not have Archiver's in California.

Anyway, enough chit chat, on to my project.
Today is Theme Day Thursday, and the theme today
was to use an apple or any fruit cut.
I decided to combine the theme with a swap
I am participating in.  For the swap, I was to make a
fall card with an embellishment.

Here is my card.

All my cuts are from an oldie but a goodie "Doodlecharms"
The basket was cut at 2.80" out of kraft cardstock.
I embossed it with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder.
I then inked it with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
The bands on the basket were cut in grey and I
added brads as the rivits.

My apples were cut at 1.5".  I cut the base layer in green
and instead of cutting the piece for the stem,
I just used a marker to color the stem brown.
Now, my favorite kind of apple is a Gala Apple.
So I decided to make my apples look like Galas.
I cute the top layer out of yellow, and then used
Fired Brick Distress Ink and pounched the color
on.  I also embossed them using the Swiss Dots Folder.
I just love the way they turned out!!

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper
"Fruit and Veggie Puns".
The pattern paper is from an old
CTMH paper pack called "Twitterpated".

Hop on over to My Cricut Craft Room
to see more fun fruit projects!!

WYEGW - 3D Projects

Hello all my crafty friends and Happy Wednesday!!
The theme for today is 3D Projects!

Now I have to give you fair warning,
this is a long, picture heavy post, so
I hope you will stay with me to the end!!

I have been playing with my new
CTMH Artiste Cartridge
and everything I made today
was from this cartridge.
Here is a pic of all 4 projects I have for you today.

As you can see I made 3 little bags/purses
and the 3D Pumpkin.

I will start off with the pumpkin.
This was super easy and came
together very quickly.
As a matter of fact, all the projects
were quick and easy to cut and assemble.
The pumpkin can be found on page 78 of the
booklet and I cut it at 9'
You use the Accent 1 feature key.

I stamped the pumpkin with CTMH
Western Flourishes stamp set
and versamark ink.  I embossed
the flourishes with Zing copper glitter
embossing powder.

Nest up is the little purse from
page 35.  This cut is
on the 3D Object feature key.
It was cut at 4.2"

This purse reminded me of a crown
so I added some jewels and Cherry Ice Stickles.
The label in the center is
Spellbinders Twisted Metals Tags Die.

I inked it with Milled Lavender Distress Ink
and the sentiment is from Pink By Design
"Inner Princess" stamp set.
The paper is Best Creations Ballet Princess.

The next bag is from page 56.
Cut at 4.2" using Accent 4 feature key and the shift key.

I added some Lavender Stickles
to accentuate the pretty eyelet cuts.
Finished it off with some ribbon.
The paper is Best Creations Walk in the Garden.

My last item is my favorite!!
This purse can be found on page 33
once again using the 3D object feature key.
It was also cut at 4.2"

Both the scrolls and the flowers were also
cut from the Artiste Cartridge.
The scrolls can be found on page 43
Accent 1, shift key.
The flowers can be found on page 54.
Here is a close up.

This paper is from DCWV, Bella Boutique Stack.
The sentiment is a sticker from the same stack.
I inked all the paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The flowers and scrolls were covered in
Stardust Stickles.

Well, thanks for stopping by today.

Little Scrap Pieces Guest Designer

Hi All My Crafty Friends!!

Today, I am so excited to share with you that
I am a guest designer for the Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces.
I jumped at the chance when Karen asked for
volunteers to do this.
Thanks for this opportunity, Karen!

Now Karen let her guest designer's pick
their own them and I chose
"USE BLING"!!!

I love using bling on my projects
and this one is no exception.
It is jam packed with bling!!

I have been wanting to make
a Paris themed card for awhile
and this is what I came up with

I used the brand new CTMH Artiste Cricut
cartridge for the roses and the flourishes,
The Eiffel Tower and Cest la Vie,
were cut from Wall Decor and More.

Here is a picture without using the flash.
The beautiful paper is from
DCWV Belle Blvd stack.
It is hard to tell but the
black border at the bottom
is flocked!!

I distressed all the paper
with Tea Dye Distress ink.

Here is a close up of the beautiful flowers.
I sprayed them with some water after
rolling them so I could shape the petals.
I then spritzed them with Diamond Glimmer Mist.
I then added some StarDust
Stickles to the end of the petals.
Did you know if you use StarDust Stickles
it dries clear and you can see the color of
the paper underneath??  It just adds the sparkle!!
I added some pearls to the centers.

I also added the stickles to the flourishes,
the senmtiment and the flourishes
on the tower!!!

Karen, thank you so much for
choosing me to be a guest designer today!!

Please head on over to Little Scrap Pieces
and join us for the Fun Friday Challenge
and show us some BLING!!!

Letter of the Day - Letter F

Hello My crafty friends!!
Did you all get to see all the amazing projects on this
There were lots of inspiring ideas.

Well today is the first time I signed up
for Letter of the day!!
For the letter of the day, we can use
a cartridge or a cut that begins with that letter.
I chose to use the brand new Fontopia cartridge.
This cartirdge is so much more than a font cartridge.
It has some really great card cuts and graphics.
I made a very simple card today.
I was having trouble cutting the intricate
crest layers, so I did not use the top layer.
(I believe my problem was my mat was
not sticky enough so the paper kept coming up)
I chose the card from page 43
Here is the page from the handbook

I know some of you may say it is too early
for Christmas cards.  But the sooner
I start, the sooner I will be done!!
Hopefully I will not be still making
cards 2 weeks before christmas!!
The paper is from
DCWV, and the Snowman
is a Jolee's embellishment.

This was my original card, but
 I thought it needed more!!
I added some silver stickles
and some gems.
You cannot see all the sparkle this card has!!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from
"Have a Cool Yule" from Crafty Sprouts.

If you have not taken a look Fontopia
please check out the handbook
And if you want to buy it
you can order it HERE.
Erica has the best prices!!

Have you started your Chritmas cards yet??

Thanks for visiting and

WYEGW - My Creative Time Stamps

For today's technique, we are using
My Creative Time Stamps.
I absolutely love Emma's stamps and dies.
Next to Peachy Keen, I own more
My Creative Time Stamps and Dies
than any other brand.  So of course
I jumped at the chance to use MCT stamps today.

For today's project I made a baby shower
card for one of the girls at work.
Her baby shower is tomorrow.
Here is a sneak peek

Originally for this baby shower card I was going
to make a card with the Jack in the Box from
Nate's ABC's, because they are naming
the baby Jack.  But then I found out that
the bedding she chose was a jungle theme.
So I decided to used the cute Lion from
Create a Critter.  I cut him at 2.49".
I hid the cuts for his face and used
Peachy Keens Happy Go Lucky Dog Faces.
Isn't he too cute!!  I embossed his
mane using the Divne Swirls folder.
I used the Martha Stewart
fringe scissors to make the grass.

The banner was made using My Creative Time's
Bulid a Banner Kit.  It comes with all 3 of
the die pieces that I used.  Plus it
had some really cool background stamps.
You can see here on a close up.
I used a Versamark pad to just print
stamp a slight pattern on the kraft card
banner piece.

I used the My Creative Time
 "Anyday Bingo and Crossword"
stamp set to stamp the letters for Jack.
I added some embossing powder, and heat set it.

Unfortunately, I am usually pretty bad about
making the inside pretty...LOL

I added some cute stickers on the inside.
The sentiment stamps are from
My Creative Time's :
More Gift Card Sentiments
Many Greetings
and K Andrew's All About Animals.

Make sure you check back on Saturday for
our 100 Cartridge Blog Hop.
I made a matching banner!!

Please be sure to stop by
to see more wonderful projects!!
