Jaded Blossom Guest Desinger

Hello and Happy Wednesday!!
Today I have the honor to be a
December Guest Designer here at Jaded Blossom!!
I want to thank Candace and Michelle for
the opportunity to be featured on their blog,
and to be able to highlight their amazing products!

I need to start wrapping all my Christmas presents,
but first I need some tags!!  I always put homemade
tags on all my gifts.  So of course I reached for Jaded Blossom!!
I started with the Treat Tag Die.
I used the beautiful Swirly Tree and Reindeer
from Christmas Wishes for all my tags.

I cut 2 of the tags from Watercolor Paper.
Love these colors!!
These are my favorites!!  I first stamped my images
with Versamark Ink and then added
Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder.
I then inked up the tags with
Distress Ink.  I added gems from my stash.

For my other tags, I used Bo Bunny Pattern Paper.

I used Card Mat Dies for my tags and the
sentiment is also from Christmas Wishes.

I just love the these swirly images!!
These tags were super easy to put together
and I plan on making alot more!!

Thanks so much for visiting!!

PDE Linky Party 12-04-15

Hello and Happy Friday!
It is time for a new PDE Linky Party and
as always the Theme is ANYTHING GOES!!
Today I am sharing a set of christmas cards that I made
for one of the ladies at my church that will be distributing cards
to senior citizens in convalescent homes.  I made 40 cards,
in 8 different color combinations!!  I kept the design very simple
so they would be easy to mass produce.
Here is a close up of my favorite color combo!
I started with glitter card bases that I bought
from Joann's.  The stamp set I used for the tree
is My Favorite Things Trim the Tree.
I honestly don't recall which stamp set
I used for the sentiment!!
I inked up the stamps with different
inks, mostly using 1 in. ink cubes.
They needed a little more, so I added
a strip of patterned paper, again from
My Favorite Things, then finished with
a few Doodlebug Sprinkles.
Here is a pic of all 8 color combos.
I made 5 of each color.
I really need to make some more of these
as they were so easy, and I like the way
they turned out!!

We can't wait to see your projects
and remember it is ANYTHING GOES,
so any handmade item is eligible!!

let it snow!

Hello and Happy Monday!!
I have a quick and simple card to
share with  you today.
I recently took an online class over at Craftsy.com
The instructor was Laura Bassen from Doublestick Heaven.
The class was Vibrant Stamping - Creative Color Techniques.
This class was so much fun and Laura was a fabulous instructor.
I learned some new techniques I cannot wait to try,

The first technique I could not wait to try was partial die cutting.
I have recently been buying lots of stamps that have the matching dies,
so this technique was perfect to try out.

The cute little snowman and sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps
Winter Friends stamp and Cold Weather Friends matching Dies,
I colored the snowman using my Spectrum Noir Markers.
The circle is a Spellbinders die.

I made my card a shaker, The background is colored with
Distress Ink and stamped with little snowflakes from the
same Winter Friends stamp set.
I added some glitter and sequins to my shaker.
I also added a few Doodlebug Sprinkles and
some crinkle ribbon.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

1930's Jeanne

Hello, and Happy Tuesday!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!!

Saturday was my Mother in Law's 84th Birthday
and all she wanted was to have her 3 boys together :)
My husband, who is the oldest brother, planned a dinner
at a local restaurant and invited the brothers,
the grandchildren and  all the great grandchildren!!
Out of her 12 grandchildren, only 2 were missing.
She was so happy to have her family all together!!

Here is a picture of my MIL with her 3 boys!!
(my hubby is the one in the red shirt :) )

So she was born in 1931, so I decided to make her a card
using the Julie Nutting 1930's Jeanne Doll Stamp.
I just love the way my card turned out, and my
MIL loved it too!!

Here is a close up of her face,
I colored her face, hair and skin with my Spectrum Noir Markers
and paper pieced her dress with paper from a My Mind's Eye
6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment if from Craftin Desert Divas
I added some fun embellishments to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sesame Street Shaker Card

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!
Today I have a super fun card to share.
I got to use my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool
for the first time to make a shaker card.
I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's post HERE

My husband's niece has twins, and they recently
celebrated their 1st Birthday and it was a
Sesame Street Themed Party.
When I photographed this card outside, I had to put a
white envelope behind it.  The cute character faces are from
I added a number 1.  The inside of the card holds
various sequins and a Happy Birthday Target Gift Card.
Here is a picture of the card without the envelope
so you can see it is transparent.
This was the first this I made with my
Fuse Tool.  It has a learning curve, I had to
seal it again because the seam split open,
You have to be sure to use the right amount of pressure.

Thanks for stopping by.
