Card Creating Tuesday - Christmas

Hello all my crafty friends and welcome back
to Card Creating Tuesday with
Today is the 25th, on on the 25th of every month
our Theme is always CHRISTMAS!!
Plus, from now until 10/15 we are using pink
in all our projects in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.

For Today's project I used A Quilted Christmas.
I just love the beautiful, intricate
images on this cartridge.
I chose to use the Ghost of
Christmas Past from page 41.
She is cut at 4".  Isn't she pretty!!
Here is a close up

I started with a kraft card base.
For the pink layer, I used a piece
of Coordinations Glimmer cardstock that
I embossed and then inked with Distress Ink
in Worn Lipstick.  I also sprayed it
with some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.
I added some Icicle Stickles.
I stamped her face with
Peachy Keen's "Laffy Taffy"
Face Assortment.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.
It is from My Creative Time's
"Warm Holiday Fun" stamp set.
I heat embossed it with Zing
Pink Glitter Embossing Powder.
I inked the edges of the card base and add
Pink and White Tulle.

Thanks for Stopping by and please

Theme Day Thursday - Shoes

Happy Thursday to all my Craft Friends!!
For the next month here are My Cricut Craft Room
we are turning PINK to show our support for
Breast Cancer.  To honor those who are currently
fighting the disease, survivors and to remember
those who have lost the battle.  From now until
October 15th, Erica has asked us to use
PINK on every project!!  She said that we could
hide it on the back or cover it up, but I am going to
display it proudly, since my mom is a breast
cancer survivor.  She is one of the lucky ones, she
has been cancer free  for more than 7 years.
Early detection is the key, so please make sure you
get your yearly mammograms!!

So the theme for today was one
of my favorite things
SHOES!!!

I decided to use the oh so cute witches
shoe from Happy Hauntings cut at 3.5".
I started with a black card base.
The pattern papers is from DCWV all cardstock is
Coordinatons.  I used 2 different Cuttlebug
embossing folders. Sorry but, the one on the 2nd
dark purple layer, I do not know the name of,
but the one on the top light lavendar layer is
Divine Swirls.  I sanded the dark purple layer and
rough up the edges with an edge distresser,  I also
inked both layers lightly with Tim Holtz Distress Ink
in Black Soot.  I added some rhinestone swirls
from Recollections.  I also added some black pearls
from the dollar bin at Joann's as the buttons on the
shoe.  I finished it off with some black and white
twine and some pink glitter tulle.
The tag and sentiment are from
My Creative Time.

Please go check out the rest of the ladies
on the design team that share my passion for shoes
don't forget to get your mammogram!!!

Baby Shower Centerpiece

Ok, so today, I think I totally messed up...lol
Today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday over at
On WYEGW, we are supposed to use any
image EXCEPT, the main image on the page.
Today we were also to use either 3 tags
or a rosette on our project.
Well I totally concentrated on the rosette piece
and forgot that I was not supposed to
use the main images.  I sure hope Erica
does not fire me for not
following the rules...LOL

So for this week's project I used
Ribbons and Rosettes(for the first time!!),
Create a Critter and Animal Kingdom.

Awhile back I had made a baby banner for one of
the girls at work.  Everyone loved it and one of
the other ladies in the office has a new grandson
due next month and she asked me if I could
make the same animals on sticks so that
she could but them in a floral center piece.
I told her sure I could do that!!
This is what I came up with.

All the rosettes were cut at 2" from page 23
of the book.  I cut 6 pieces for each rosette.
I used a Marvy Uchida Jumbo Scalloped
Circle Punch for the center piece which
I then embossed using the Cuttlebug
Spots and Dots folder.
All the pieces were inked with
Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn
and Broken China.
All animals were cut from Create a Critter
except the Tiger, he is from Animal Kingdom.
Most of them were cut at 2.5"
All the faces were stamped with
various Peachy Keen face stamps.
I added some ribbon from Michaels to each one.

Now I just did not want to hand them to her,
so I decorated a recycled drink mix container
to put them in. This is what I started with:

I took off the packaging and this is what was left.
I have been saving these and knew some
day I would have a use for them...LOL

I originally only made one, and put all
six in the same container.  She liked it so much
she asked  me to make her two more!!
I put some little glass pebbles in the
 bottom to weigh them down.

I had so much fun making these and finally
using my Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge.
They were alot of work, but turned out so cute!!
Plus I got paid for making these!!

Here are some close ups of the animals:

Letter of the Day - Letter J

Hello and Happy Labor Day to
all my crafty friends!!
I hope you all are enjoying your
wonderful 3 day weekend.

For this week's post I chose to create
a project using "Just Because Cards".
I made a very simple card to
share with you today.
I made a round card
using the sticker feature on the cartridge.
The card base is cut at 5" from the
Art Philosophy Cartridge.
I used Kraft Cardstock.
The boot image I chose is on
page 65, and it was cut at 4.81"
The pattern paper is from Best Creations
"Cowboy Up" paper pack that
I got from the Shop at Erica's Craft Room
I added some Cinammon Stickles
and Chestnut Liquid Pearls.

Here is the inside of the card.  The phrase is on the same page of
the book and I cut 1.82".  The paper is from the same paper pack.

This was a quick and simple card to make.

Now head on over to My Cricut Craft Room
to see what the rest of the design team made today!!
