WYEGW - Technique - 3D Basket

Welcome to

Today the technique we were challenged to use was
to create a 3-D Basket!!

Now I know there is a beautiful easter basket
on the new TBBM2 card, and another
great one on the new Spring Cottage.
But I wanted to challenge myself to create
a basket using some other cartridge.
So I was looking through my booklets
and I found the cute "Nut Cup" on TBBM.
I thought, I can make a basket with that!!

Here is a sneak peek!!

I used several cartridges for this project.
I will show you picutures of all 4 sides, and then
list the cartridges and sizes below.
I used some of the eggs I had left
over form the card I made last week.

Tags, Bags, Boxes and More - Nut Cup 11.90"w x 13.20"h
Art Philosophy - Eggs cut at 1.5"

Simply Charmed - Chick cut at 1.75"

As promised yesterday, today I am going to share
a picture of my two adorable grandsons!

These two little cuties are my little princes:

Aren't those little faces just precious!!
This picture was taken last year.
Tristan on the left is now 8
and Vincent on the right is 7.

Now, on to my project for today.

I have to admit, this project was a total scraplift!!
I lifted this idea straight from page 22 & 23
of the Cricut Quick and Easy Idea book!!
had the most adorable gift bag with overalls for a little girl.
When I saw the bag I knew I could make the perfect
pair of boy overalls to match the theme of this hop!!

I used a small kraft gift bag, it is only about 8.5" high.
I inked it up with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I cut the overalls from the Country Life Cartridge.
using Coordinations cardstock,
I stretched them with my gypsy so that they
are 4.6" wide x 11" high.
I ran them through the cuttlebug using this cute
checkered folder.  Then I sanding them a bit.
The red plaid paper is from DCWV
Dots and Stripes paper pack.
I adde some brads for buttons.
The fish and fishing pole were cut
from Just Because Cards at 8.6" high.
The grass was cut from
Martha Stewart All Occasions Cake Art.
This is my favorite grass to use!!

The Gone Fishin sentiment is from Life is a Beach.
I cut it at 3.10" h.  I cut the fish off that was part of the cut.

I hope you enjoyed my projects!!

Your next stop is Tiffany

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday - Textures Wet/Dry

Hello, and welcome to another

Today, the team was challenged with using Wet/Dry Textures
on our projects.  We could use Stickles, Liquid Pearls,
Liquid Applique, Viva Decor Pens, Glossy Accents,
Glimmer Mist.  Basically anything that would give our projects
some beautiful texture!!  I used several different products.
Here is a sneak peak!

For my card today, I used Art Philosophy and
Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cartridges.
I also used Stickles, Liquid Pearls and
Glossy Accents to add texture.

My good friend is having knee replacement surgery next week,
andshe is realy nervous about it.  Since Saturday is
St. Patrick's Day,I decided to make her a good luck
card using my favorite color GREEN!!

I started by making some more of the beautiful flowers
from Art Philosophy.  I cut the flowers at 2.5" & 3" in
white and patterned paper.
For the big flower in the center, I cut it out in white and
then spritzed it with Glimmr Mist in Olive Twist.
For the flower in the left, I also cut it out in white, but
I just inked the edges with a Studio G stamp pad.
The flower on the right was cut from pattern paper.
I added stickles in the edges of the petals in
Lime Green and Diamond.
I put a dot of Liquid Pearls in the center.

Here are some more flowers using the same techniques.

The flowers were adhered to the card base that I cut from
Art Philosophy at 10"w x 7" h.  I added an oval in the middle
because I wanted it to be a window card.
The paper was from a Recollections Christmas Stack.
Once I cut it out, I realized that I was left with and
ugly white oval in the middle!!
So, I took some metallic rub ons I had sitting
in my chalk drawer and applied 3 different colors
with my finger.  I love the way it came out!!!
I then added a ring of Platinum Liquid Pearls on the inside
and the outside of the oval.

The Good Luck sentiment was cut from the
Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cartridge.
I cut the shadow as well.  I covered the top layer
with Liquid Glass from Close to My Heart
to give it some shine and gloss!!

I finished it off with some crinkle ribbon.
I sure hope my friend Pat likes her card.
A lot of love went into it!!!

Here is a picture if the inside

Please stop by My Cricut Craft Room
to see more beautiful projects!!!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Celebrate the Occasion Birthday Balloons

I am going to make this one in just under the deadline!!  This is a simple card I made for the Celebrate the Occassion - Challenge #31!! This week's theme is "Birthday (must use balloons)"!!!!

All cuts are from Martha Stewart's All Occassions Cake Art Cartridge.  All the paper was from my scraps and I used a little bling and a little crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot.  The present in the corner was added to hide a mistake!!
