Pot of Gold

Hello and Happy Monday!!

How are all my crafty friends today?
I am doing good, unfortunately I had to go
back to work today after being off for a month
with my foot surgery.  Everything went great, so I
had no more excuses for not going back to work...LOL

I have a fun project to share with you today
that I made to enter in a few challenges.

I made this little treat box with the
pillow box from Art Philosophy cut at 6".
The foil paper is DCWV "Green Tea" Stack.

I added a double belly band around the box.
I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch
on the first layer, and then embossed the
second layer with a Shamrock Folder from
the Cuttlebug Companion Folder
from Simply Charmed.  For this layer,
I used Tim Holtz Kraft-Core
cardstock from Coordinations.
I then sanded it.

Next I cut this cute little Pot of Gold from
Simply Charmed at 2"
I added his cute little face
from Peachy Keen's "Piles of Smiles"
stamp set.  The gold coins were cut
from some gold foil paper.

I used my stylus to emboss some lines
on the coins to define them better.
I attached the pot of gold to the box
with an Action Wobble.

I also cut some Shamrocks from foil paper
using the My Creative Time
"You're My Pot of Gold"
stamp and die set.
The sentiment below is from the same set.

The sentiment was stamped onto
a Ticket cut from the
My Creative Time
"Stiched Fun Ticket Dies"
I added some Tim Holtz
Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.

I added some gold twine to finish it off!!

I got my inspiration for this project from
page 23 of the March Issue of the Cricut Magazine.
Gwen Lords made this adorable box.

I will be entering this into the following challenges:
FCCB - Fun with Puns
Little Scrap Pieces - Emboss It
Cut It Up - Pinterest Inspired
Peachy Keen - 3D Objects with Metal
My Craft Spot - Pop It Up
Cardz TV - Luck of the Irish

Would You Every Guess Wednesday - Snowflakes

Hello all my crafty friends!!
Today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday
On Wednesdays, the Design Team
is challenged with using anything
but the main image on the page.
This week's theme is SNOWFLAKES!!
We were asked to use a snowflake from
any of the bonus features that
are available on many cartridges.
I used Art Philosophy.

I actually made two cards to share with you today.

This first card was made using the image
from the font layer from page 64!!
This layer was cut at 4.6"
The base is cut at 5" from the
card layer on page 23.

I added a glittered snowflake from my stash
and the sentiment is from the brand new
"Think Snow" stamp set from
My Craft Spot.

I added some pink glitter tulle
a homemade stick pin
and some gems.

This next card was made using the card and
decorative layer from page 27 of the handbook.
The card base was cut at 5"
and the decorative layer was cut at 4.75".

I kept this one simple, only
adding a few gems and somemore
tulle!!  I added a snowflake gem
which was clear, so I covered it
with glue and pink glitter!!

Please make sure to stop over at
to see more snowflake projects.

I want to thank all
of my crafty friends for
visting and leaving me some
love on my blog!
I hope everyone has a blessed
and bountiful Thanksgiving!!

Theme Day Thursday - 3D Purses

Hello my crafty friends!!
Today is Theme Day Thursday over at
and this weeks theme is
3D Purses!!

I used Forever Young and Art Philosophy
for my purse.

Since I have been making nothing but
Christmas projects lately,
I decided to make this purse
Christmas themed too.
I can use it to give a gift card.

The purse was cut at 4.5" from
Forever Young.  I hid the word
that is part of this cut using my gypsy.

I cut the flowers from
Flower Shoppe at 3.5" & 4.5".
I sprayed everything with some
Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Mist
and the added gold stickles
to my flowers.

I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Die
for the piece that I stamped the sentiment onto.
The sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms
Christmas Wishes Stamp Set.
I stamped it with Versamark
and then heat embossed using
Zing Embossing Powder in Rouge.

Thanks for visiting, I hope you
enjoyed my project today.

Please make sure you visit

Letter of the Day - Letter J

Hello and Happy Labor Day to
all my crafty friends!!
I hope you all are enjoying your
wonderful 3 day weekend.

For this week's post I chose to create
a project using "Just Because Cards".
I made a very simple card to
share with you today.
I made a round card
using the sticker feature on the cartridge.
The card base is cut at 5" from the
Art Philosophy Cartridge.
I used Kraft Cardstock.
The boot image I chose is on
page 65, and it was cut at 4.81"
The pattern paper is from Best Creations
"Cowboy Up" paper pack that
I got from the Shop at Erica's Craft Room
I added some Cinammon Stickles
and Chestnut Liquid Pearls.

Here is the inside of the card.  The phrase is on the same page of
the book and I cut 1.82".  The paper is from the same paper pack.

This was a quick and simple card to make.

Now head on over to My Cricut Craft Room
to see what the rest of the design team made today!!

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back!

I have signed up to do the Sketches all this month.
I wanted to challenge myself to try some different things.
I promise, next month, you will see more than
just sketches from me!!

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is a sneak peak:

For my card today, I used my all time favorite cartridge, Art Philosophy!!
This cartridge is awesome.

The card base and top layer were cut at 5" from page 31
of the handbook.

The paper is used for the base and layerare from Echo Parks
Hello Summer line.  Isn't it adorable!!!  I got it from
Erica's Store.  She has a great selection and great prices.
Check it out here HERE

The polka dot paper is from Doodlebug.
I used Spellbinders Label One die for the center.
The cute little turtle is from Peachy Keen's
June Stamp of the Month kit.
She is mounted on an Action Wobble.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's
"Even More Punnylicious" stamp set.
I added some Liquid Pearls Dots
in Buttercup and Rouge.  I just love the new colors.

WYEGW - Use Tag Feature or Stickles

 Hello my crafty friends!!!
Welcome back and thank you
for visiting.For this weeks
Would You Ever Guess Wednesday,
we were asked to use the tag feature
or to use stickles.  Now, I thought that I had
signed up to use the tag feature, so I made
a tag using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.
Then when I looked at the sign up sheet,
I realized that I had actually signed up to
use stickles!!  Well it is a good thing I used
plenty of stickles too...LOL.

Once again this post is very picture heavy!!

So, I was reminded on one of the blogs that I follow
about the chipboard tags that came with the
Art Philosophy bundle, so I decided to use
one of them this week.

A friend of mine had knee replacement surgery
back in March, and her recovery has been very slow.
She is finally feeling better and I will be
meeting her for lunch today, so I thought
I would make her a little gift.

Here is a sneak peak!  This beautiful flower was
cut with the flower petal die from My Creative Time,
I added  glimmer mist, stickles, and a
glitter brad in the center..

I started by cutting out Tag 5 and the layer from
page 70 from Art Philosophy at 4".
All the paper for this project is from
My Minds's Eye "Fiddlesticks" 6 x 6 paper pad.
The sentiment is also from My Creative Time,
Floral Sentiments stamp set.

I added some Martha Stewart glitter
embossing powder in Sugar Cube.
I distressed the paper
using Tim Holtz Distress Ink
in Milled Lavendar and Antique Linen.
I added lots of bling using stickles in
Lavendar, Diamond and Platnium.
The butterfly was from my stash.

Next I cut the Treat Bag from page 39 of
Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2
at 11" I used plain lavendar paper to cut the box
and then covered it with pieces
from the MME Fiddlesticks pack.

I cut this tag from the
Spellbinders Fancy Tags die,
which I then embossed and stenciled.
The sentiment was put together
using K Andrews "Winters Wishes" stamp set.
I also embossed using the MS Glitter
Embossing powder,
you can't see it in the picture,
but it is very sparkly.
These flowers were cut using the
Rolled Flower Die from My Creative Time.

The back was kind of plain,
so that is where I stuck the tag!!!
For the bow on the tag
and the handle on the bag,
I used a piece of lace trim
that I had.  It was white,
so I inked it with the
Antique Linen Distress Ink
to gived it an aged look.

I filled the treat bag with Dove Chocolates
because there are my friend's favorite!!

Please be sure to stop by My Cricut Craft Room,
to see the rest of today's projects!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

to create a 3-D Basket!!

Now I know there is a beautiful easter basket
on the new TBBM2 card, and another
great one on the new Spring Cottage.
But I wanted to challenge myself to create
a basket using some other cartridge.
So I was looking through my booklets
and I found the cute "Nut Cup" on TBBM.
I thought, I can make a basket with that!!

Here is a sneak peek!!

I used several cartridges for this project.
I will show you picutures of all 4 sides, and then
list the cartridges and sizes below.

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday - Textures Wet/Dry

Hello, and welcome to another

Today, the team was challenged with using Wet/Dry Textures
on our projects.  We could use Stickles, Liquid Pearls,
Liquid Applique, Viva Decor Pens, Glossy Accents,
Glimmer Mist.  Basically anything that would give our projects
some beautiful texture!!  I used several different products.
Here is a sneak peak!

For my card today, I used Art Philosophy and
Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cartridges.
I also used Stickles, Liquid Pearls and
Glossy Accents to add texture.

My good friend is having knee replacement surgery next week,
andshe is realy nervous about it.  Since Saturday is
St. Patrick's Day,I decided to make her a good luck
card using my favorite color GREEN!!

I started by making some more of the beautiful flowers
from Art Philosophy.  I cut the flowers at 2.5" & 3" in
white and patterned paper.
For the big flower in the center, I cut it out in white and
then spritzed it with Glimmr Mist in Olive Twist.
For the flower in the left, I also cut it out in white, but
I just inked the edges with a Studio G stamp pad.
The flower on the right was cut from pattern paper.
I added stickles in the edges of the petals in
Lime Green and Diamond.
I put a dot of Liquid Pearls in the center.

Here are some more flowers using the same techniques.

The flowers were adhered to the card base that I cut from
Art Philosophy at 10"w x 7" h.  I added an oval in the middle
because I wanted it to be a window card.
The paper was from a Recollections Christmas Stack.
Once I cut it out, I realized that I was left with and
ugly white oval in the middle!!
So, I took some metallic rub ons I had sitting
in my chalk drawer and applied 3 different colors
with my finger.  I love the way it came out!!!
I then added a ring of Platinum Liquid Pearls on the inside
and the outside of the oval.

The Good Luck sentiment was cut from the
Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cartridge.
I cut the shadow as well.  I covered the top layer
with Liquid Glass from Close to My Heart
to give it some shine and gloss!!

I finished it off with some crinkle ribbon.
I sure hope my friend Pat likes her card.
A lot of love went into it!!!

Here is a picture if the inside

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Card Creating Tuesday - Easter

For today, the design team was asked to make Easter card
using GREEN, YELLOW and one other color.
My third color is PINK

Here is a sneak peak!

For today's card I used Art Philosophy for the card base.
It was cut at 5".  I embossed the base with a
Simply Charmed Cuttlebug folder.
The three frames were cut from Elegant Edges at varying sizes.
The card base and the frames were all cut from
Close to My Heart paper pack called "Sweet Pea".
That is also the name of my Spoiled Dog #1!!

The circle was cut using a Spellbinders die called Lacy Circles.
The was embossed with another Cuttlebug folder.
The paper is Coordinations Color Core cardstock,
which I sanded to bring out the lighter pink color.

Finally this funny little bunny was cut at
3.5" from 3 Birds on Parade.
She was mounted use an action wobble.
Here is a little video to show how she wobbles!!

I followed the card sketch over at
for the Feb/March Card Challenge.
Erica is giving away a Sophie Cartridge for this
challenge, so please check it out!!
