Theme Day Thursday - Use any Cart - National Day ofr Prayer

Hello and welcome to another

Today's we could use any cartridge  and the
theme is National Day of Prayer.

My nephew's daughter is making her first
holy communion this month, so I decided
to make a card for her.

For this  card I used Simply Charmed and Once Upon a Princess.
Here is a sneak peak.

The cute little girl was cut from Simply Charmed.
She is the bride cut from page 72.
I cut her and some of the layers
at 4.5".  I did not use all of the layers
and I did hide the bouquet placement
lines using my gypsy.  There were a
few pieces that I had to snip off from
the back layer that were for the bouquet.

I also hid the face features and used the
Peachy Keen Princess Faces to stamp
her sweet little face.

I embossed her dress using the Textile Texture
Cuttlebug Embossing folder.
I added some gems to her headpiece and
her dress.

The background paper is from the
Best Creation "Walk in My Garden" line.
I cut the purple label from Spellbinders
Curved Rectangle die,
and embossed with Cuttlebug
Language of Love folder.
I tied a bow with a piece
of glitter tulle.

The tag is from Martha Stewart.
I stamped the sentiment from
K Andrews "Amazing You"
and "Owly Hoo Sentiments" stamps set.
I embossed the sentiment with
tinsel embossing powder.

For the inside of the card
the sentiment was cut using the font
feature on Once Upon a Princess.

I am really happy with the way the card turned out, and I
hope Becky likes it too!!!

Please make sure to stop by My Cricut Craft Room
to see the rest of todays projects.

Oh, Kathy, this is so beautiful!! The little girl looks like a princess!! I remember waaay back to my first communion and getting to wear the white dress and veil...I felt like a princess :) This is just gorgeous!!

Most of the Mega Spellbinders dies will work in the Cuttlebug, and maybe one or two of the smaller grand, but not the largest sizes. I still use my Cuttlebug quite a bit. I use the Grand Calibur for the largest dies and if I'm cutting a bunch at once, otherwise I use the Cuttlebug...I don't have to crank near as much!! Please let me know if you have any other questions :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend :)
