Card Creating Tuesday - Sketch

So, for today, I have a very simple card for you.
As I indicated last week, for this month,
I signed up for the sketch each week.
I am trying to expand my style...LOL

Here is the sketch we were to use today

This was a very simple card.
The only Cricut cut is the brown
frame piece in the middle.
This was cut using George and Basic Shapes.
I wanted to keep it plain because it is for my husband.
With Father's Day and his birthday both on
Sunday, I needed a couple of cards.
He likes to wear hats, so I thought
this was perfect for him!!

The darling little hat is a die cut
from My Creative Time's
newest release called
"Here's Looking at You".
The sentiment is from the same set.

The background paper is DCWV "Green Tea" Stack.
The ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks for looking and please make sure
you check out what the rest of the
design team made today at

This is so fabulous, Kathy!! I couldn't tell if the hat was a die cut or the negative image of the patterned paper with the background showing through!! Awesome either way!! LOVE this!! You did a great job!! Happy birthday to your hubby :)

I hope you are having a fabulous week my friend :)

I just had to stop by and tell you that I spent about $125 at Joann, today, too!! What an awesome sale!! With free shipping :D I could have spent twice that much, but I reigned myself in ;)

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, my friend!! And that your hubby has a very happy Father's Day :)

Wonderful interpretation of the sketch. I love the use of the patterned papers, it matches but is not to busy!
