Hogs and Kisses

Hello and Happy Thursday!!
Today I have a cute little project to share with you.
Yesterday was my 14th Anniversary.
Since I have been laid up with my foot surgery,
I was unable to shop to get something for my hubby.
I decided to make him a yummy box of treats!!
My inspiration for this project was
the cute little KISS die from
Chocolate Greetings Die and Stamp set.

I started with a box that I recycled.
This box was perfect for what I had in mind.
It was a black box with a red lid.
I just needed to decorate it.

My cute little HOG is a morphed character!!
The head is from Animal Kingdom and
her body is from Teddy Bear Parade.
Her cute little face is from
Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed.
I attached the head with an Action Wobble.

My HOG is hugging a chocolate kiss that I cut
from a foil paper that I have had for ages
and have never used!!  I crumbled it up
a bit to give it the look of a real kiss!!
The flags and sentiments are from
the same set.

This sentiment is from Just Because Cards
and the Hearts are from My Creative Time
and

I finished my bos off my added some
My Craft Spot crinkle ribbon around the
edge of the box.

And here is a picture of the inside!!
I covered the inside with some red tissue paper.
I made my hubby some yummy chocolate
covered strawberriesand chocolate brownie
cake pops!!  This was the first time I ever
made anything like this. I had bought a cake pop
maker almost a year ago and have never used it!!
I made my brownie cake pops with a
boxed chocolate  cake mix and a can of
canned pumpkin.  I added some chopped
pecans for crunch.  I popped the batter into my
cake pop maker and they came out almost
perfect on the first try!!  I the chocolate coating for
both the strawberries and cake pops waas a whole
different matter...lol.  I ruined the first two batches
but the 3rd time was a charm!!
I was really proud of my little treat box
and my husband loved it!!
Now my son wants me to make one
for his "girlfriend" for Valentine's Day
but he already paid $30.00 and ordered
them online.  Next time he will
know to ask mom first!!

I will be entering this project in the following challenges:

Perky Penguins

Hello all my crafty friends,
today is Theme Day Thursday

The theme today is
"Perky Penguins"

Today I decided to do something
a little different.  A few months ago
I found this great idea HERE
Nadia shows how you can use
Teddy Bear Parade and other cartridges
to make morphed characters.
Today, I made a morphed penguin!!
I used the penguin head from
Animal Kingdom and the body
and outfit from Teddy Bear Parade.
Here is my morphed Penguin Elf!!

I scraplifted the idea and color scheme from HERE
The penguin and body are cut at 3".
The pink layer was cut with
Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles.
I also layered a Nestabling on top.
The white layer was cut
using my paper trimmer and the
corners were punched with a
Martha Stewart punch, then
embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.
The Penguin was
mounted using an action wobble.
I also added some designer trim
from Webster's Pages.

The eyes were stamped using
Peachy Keen's Bird Faces.

The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's
Mistletoe Stamp Set and stamped
onto Tiny Doilies Metal Dies.

Thanks for stopping by.
Please be sure to stop by
to see more Perky Penguins!!

You're Moovelous

Happy Friday to all my friends.
I wanted to make a quick post for a challenge.
I made this card for a card swap
using Animal Kingdom for the cow.
Isn't she cute???
The background was made with
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
in Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean.
I also added some Glimmer Mist.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper
The eyes are from Peachy Keen
Character Face Parts.

Baby Shower Centerpiece

Ok, so today, I think I totally messed up...lol
Today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday over at
On WYEGW, we are supposed to use any
image EXCEPT, the main image on the page.
Today we were also to use either 3 tags
or a rosette on our project.
Well I totally concentrated on the rosette piece
and forgot that I was not supposed to
use the main images.  I sure hope Erica
does not fire me for not
following the rules...LOL

So for this week's project I used
Ribbons and Rosettes(for the first time!!),
Create a Critter and Animal Kingdom.

Awhile back I had made a baby banner for one of
the girls at work.  Everyone loved it and one of
the other ladies in the office has a new grandson
due next month and she asked me if I could
make the same animals on sticks so that
she could but them in a floral center piece.
I told her sure I could do that!!
This is what I came up with.

All the rosettes were cut at 2" from page 23
of the book.  I cut 6 pieces for each rosette.
I used a Marvy Uchida Jumbo Scalloped
Circle Punch for the center piece which
I then embossed using the Cuttlebug
Spots and Dots folder.
All the pieces were inked with
Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn
and Broken China.
All animals were cut from Create a Critter
except the Tiger, he is from Animal Kingdom.
Most of them were cut at 2.5"
All the faces were stamped with
various Peachy Keen face stamps.
I added some ribbon from Michaels to each one.

Now I just did not want to hand them to her,
so I decorated a recycled drink mix container
to put them in. This is what I started with:

I took off the packaging and this is what was left.
I have been saving these and knew some
day I would have a use for them...LOL

I originally only made one, and put all
six in the same container.  She liked it so much
she asked  me to make her two more!!
I put some little glass pebbles in the
 bottom to weigh them down.

I had so much fun making these and finally
using my Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge.
They were alot of work, but turned out so cute!!
Plus I got paid for making these!!

Here are some close ups of the animals:

Theme Day Thursday - ABC Carts

Hello and welcome to Theme Day Thursday with
Today we were asked to use one of the ABC carts.
Kate's ABC's, Nate's ABC's or Noah's ABC's.
I used Kate's ABC's and Animal Kingdom.
Here is a sneak peak:

The word Baby and the banner pieces
 were cut with Kate's ABC's.
I added some liquid pearls to the
word Baby and some Glossy Accents to the
letters in the banner. I kind of messed up because
I was in a hurry.  I tried using my heat gun to dry
the liquid pearls, and they exploded!!!
So do not try this at home...LOL

I made this card for one of the girl's at work.
We had her baby shower yesterday and the theme
in her babies room is monkey's!!
She loved the card!!
This cute monkey head is from Animal Kingdom.
She is mounted on an action wobble.
I stamped the eyes with Peachy Keen's
Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed stamp set.
The adorable crochet flower was from
She hand crochets these herself!!

I added a piece of lace and inked all the edges.
The adorable pattern paper was a gift from
our wonderful leader Erica!!
It is from Echo Park "Bundle of Joy".

Hope you liked my card as
much as the recipient did!!

For my projects today I used, Accent Essentials, Animal Kingdom and All Mixed Up.

This first card was made with Accent Essentials.
For this card, I used my gypsy to weld two of the scalloped squares from page 78 to form my card base.  These were cut at 5", the frame is is on the same page and also cut at 5"
The flower was from page 77.  I used my gypsy to seperate each layer and I cut each layer from a different pattern paper.  I spritzed each layer wil Pearl Glimmer mist and curled the edges then joined them all together with a green glitter brad.  I used a Glue Dot to attach to the card.  I used 2 different Cuttelebug folders to emboss the card base and frame.  The smiling flowers is from Simply Charmed companion folders, and the leaf one I believe is from Preserves.  I added a little inking and some twine.  I purposely left off a sentiment, that way I can use it for any occasion!!

For this next card, I used Animal Kingdom.
For Valentine's Day I bought each of my grandkids a cute little box of Animal Crackers from Walmart.
They are each a different animal.  So I am making a matching card for each of them.
So for this one, I used the head feature.  Now this is supposed to be a monkey, it kind if looks like a bear cub, but oh well.  I am sure my 6 yr old grandson will love it!!  I welded to of the head shapes to make the base of the card. Then cut the layers.  All were cut at 5".  I hid the eyes so I could use my Peachy Keen "Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed" stamps.  I added some glossy accents to the eyes.  I used My Creative Time, new Teeny Tiny Tag Die to cut the tags and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper "Punnylicious" stamp set.

For my last project today, I used All Mixed Up and Kate's ABC's
The words were cut at 1.5" using All Mixed Up.  And the shoes were cut from Kate's ABC's at 3.5".
I distressed the edges of the pattern paper and inked them.  I added some Pink Bubblegum Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot and some gem to the shoes.

Thanks for stopping by today.

25 Days of December - Day 12 Snow

Erica's Design Team
Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects  day.  Don't forget to stop by
Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme was to use SNOW!!
Here is my project....

My project was to make a card:

Now you may notice that this card is similar to the card I made for day 9, well that is because I used all the same supplies!!  I used Art Philosophy and Animal Kingdom Cricut Cartridges for this card.  Art Philosophy was used for the card base cut at 5.4" and the frame was cut at 5".  The Polar Bear was cut at 2.2".The shimmer card stock used for the card base and the bear is Coordinations Gemstones.  The printed paper is from DCWV Winter Wonderland stack.  I embossed the cardbase with the Cuttlebug snowfalke folder, and the bear was emobossed with the Swiss Dots folder.

I added snow by tearing some Coordinations Glitter cardstock, and I inked along the tear line with a Studio G ink pad.  I added 2 little bows with Crinkle Ribbon.  I also added a scarf to the bear with some Bakery Twine from My Craft Spot.  I finished my card off with a sentiment from Crafty Sprouts "Have a Cool Yule" stamp set.

Thanks for visiting my blog and come back tomorrow for another project for the 25 Days of December!!

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

25 Days of December - Day 9 ANIMALS

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects  day.  Don't forget to stop by
Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme was to use an Animal

Here is my project....

My project was to use the cuttlebug:
I used Art Philosphy and Animal Kingdom Cricut Cartridge for this card.  Art Philosphy was used for the card base and the frame that the cute little bear is sitting on.  These were cut at 5.4".  The Polar Bear head was cut at 2.2".The shimmer card stock used for the card base and the bear head is Coordinations Gemstones.  The printed paper is from DCWV Winter Wonderland stack.  There is lots of glimmer and shine which you all know is hard to photograph.
You can see the glimmer and shine better in this picture.  The printed cardstock also has glitter.  I embossed the card base with the Cuttlebug snowflake folder.  I highlighted the bears face with my Stampin Up markers, some ink, chalk and used the Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face Parts stamp for his eyes.  He is also mounted on an Action Wobble.  I finished the card off by twisting some crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot and Praire Bird Boutique, as well as some tinsel string also from Praire Bird Boutique.  I added a tag punched and stamped from the Tag set from Stampin Up.

Happy Crafting,
