Letter of the Day - Letter S

Today is Monday, and on Mondays
we do The Letter of the Day,
and today's letter is "S".
We can use a cartridge
that starts with the letter
or an image that starts with the letter.

I chose to use a "S"leigh, from
Paper Doll Dress Up.

You can find this particular
sleigh on page 74 of the handbook.
I cut it twice at 5" wide.
I cut it once in silver
and again in red.

I cut the rails off of the red layer.
I then embossed it using a Sizzix folder.
I spritzed it with some Diamond Glimmer Mist.
Then I glued it on top of the silver layer.
I added some Platinum Stickles.
The presents were cut with
my Creative Memories square punch.

All paper is DCWV.
Still not sure I really like this card,
I think I used too many patterns,
it looks a little too busy.
Oh well, someone on my christmas
card list will still be getting it...LOL.

Make sure you stop over at
to see more projects today.

Card Creating Tuesday - Get Well Card

Today is Tuesday, and that can only mean one thing:

For this week the Theme was to create a
Get Well Card

I made my card using
Paper Doll Dress Up and
Life is a Beach.

My nephew is in the Navy and he
had to have surgery on his wrist
for bone spurs.  He is stationed
on a submarine in Hawaii!!
So this card was made for him!

The submarine was cut from Life is a Beach.
I used metallic cardstock.

The sailor was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.
He is actually the Raggedy Andy cut!!
I used Peachy Keens Basic
Paper Dolls stamp set for the face.
I added some doodling with
a metallic gel pen.
I tore layers of paper for the water
and the sand, and inked the edges
I used glitter cardstock for the sand.
The sunset was added with chalk.
Sorry, but I do not recall which
cart the Get Well Soon is from!!

Here is a pic of my nephew.

Tyler, get well soon!!

Now, please be sure to check out

25 Days of December - Day 22 - Gingerbread

Erica's Design Team
Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.  Don't forget to stop by
Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme was GINGERBREAD!!
Here is my project....
Isn't this Gingerbread couple just too cute!! This card came together very quickly.  This couple was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.  They were each cut at 8.9" H x 3.09"W.  Their cute little faces are from Peachy Keens Christmas Face Assortment.  I added some stickles and some little heart gems, a little chalk and a little inking.  I cut the girl a 2nd time from the pattern paper and then cut just her dress out.  All pattern paper is from DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack.  Here is a close up of the couple:
I added some tinsel string and a Martha Stewart Tag, the sentiment is from Carfty Sprouts "Have a Cool Yule" stamp set.  I also inked the card and tag with
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Festive Berry.

Thanks for Stopping by!!
Happy Crafting :)

Halloween Treat Boxes

I made these cute little treat boxes from Tag, Bags, Boxes and More, using the popcorn box.  I just cut and attached a strip of cardstock for the handle.  The cute little figures were all cute with Paper Doll Dress Up.  I think the tag with the sentiment is from TBBM as well.  I added some dimensional stickers and some candy and they are good to go!!  I am also entering this in the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky

Halloween Treat Bags

I made these treat bags for my grandkids last year.  Since I did not have my blog last year, I thought I would post these now.  I made one for each one of them with the character they were dressing up as.
I used Paper Doll Dress Up and Everyday Paper Dolls for all the cuts.  I took paper bags I bought at Walmart and decorated them with cardstock, stickers and foam letters for the names.  I am entering this in the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky and the Paper Cutz Challenge #112
